Unfortunately for some people, the reputations of their professions may or may not precede them. It is inevitable in this day and age that people will check what a potential significant other does for a living before they even swipe left or right on a dating app. Hopefully, people aren't so basic to completely judge a book by its cover, but it's not like dating apps were intended to look at folks in a nuanced way. Just like people judge pictures and other credentials like height and education, they also judge how you earn a living.

The line between being curious about someone's profession and limiting oneself with vapid preconceived notions about certain industries is quite thin. However, sometimes people have valid justifications for personal reasons. These folks shared their hot takes about all the jobs and industries they consider to be immediate red flags. To me you have to have a specific personality type to thrive in the world of business and it's not conducive to a loving relationship.

I don't want to see my wife/girlfriend kissing somebody else, being being intimate (even fake intimacy) with on screen, another person. Call it what you will but it isn't for me.

    Font - mezorumi 4 hr. ago Any job that has worse hours than "9-5 on weekdays with occasional travel and some overtime during the busy season." I wouldn't want to date someone who has weird shifts, who doesn't have weekends off, or who regularly needs to be gone for days at a time. Any job where there's a good chance you'll need to relocate. I'm not willing to move long distance for anything less than a seven figure salary.
